25hours Hotel The Olympia Sydney — Art House Inspired Collages

Sydney-based collage artist Kubi Vasak has created a series of site-specific collage artworks for 25hours Hotel The Olympia, newly opened in Paddington.

Responding to the building’s former life as the Olympia Theatre and its deep connection to Sydney’s 1970s Art House culture, the works transform hotel rooms into immersive, atmospheric spaces. Titled Renegade and The Dreamer, the collages explore the tension between rebellion and idealism — drawing on fragments of nightlife, music, memory, and creative experimentation.

Rather than functioning as decorative backdrops, the artworks operate as extensions of the hotel’s identity, encouraging guests to slow down, reflect, and engage with the cultural history embedded in the building.
