The Sydney Collage Society specialises in teaching, producing and showcasing contemporary collage.

Since 2015, the Sydney Collage Society has been a platform for contemporary collage and creative exchange. We run collage workshops, develop innovative projects, and platform both local and international artists through exhibitions, interviews, and collaborations.

Our exhibitions are held in various local and interstate galleries, private and public spaces and occasionally, we exhibit internationally.

Design is our passion; we create installations and commissions that seamlessly merge collage, art, and design across print and digital.

We’re excited to share the news that Australian artist Freya Jobbins has joined the Sydney Collage Society.

Freya is a multidisciplinary artist working across collage, assemblage, installation and printmaking. Her practice explores appropriation, re-contextualisation and the transformation of pre-existing objects and images to examine identity, the human experience and contemporary narratives.

Artist Interview w/ Jelle Van Den Heede

In our latest Downtime Interview, we speak with Belgian illustrator and visual artist Jelle Van Den Heede, whose practice spans collage, object assemblage, photography and kinetic mobiles. Working intuitively through analogue processes, Jelle explores traces of time, overlooked details and the poetry of everyday materials.

Artist Process Workshops are back in 2026

We’re back in 2026 with a new Artist Process Workshop with Millie Bartlett. In this 5-hour hands-on workshop, Millie will guide you through her unique collage process—sorting vintage materials, mastering composition, gluing techniques, and applying a reverse image transfer on your own wooden art board.
