Hands-On Collage Workshop Inspired by Snakes and Mirrors Exhibition

Explore the current Main Gallery exhibition Snakes and Mirrors by Petrina Hicks at Hurstville Museum & Gallery, presented by Georges River Council, then join a hands-on collage workshop led by Sydney Collage Society artist Kubi Vasak.

Participants will use the exhibition as inspiration to explore contemporary collage techniques — experimenting with colour, shape, texture, and image placement — while engaging with themes of animals, the female experience, and the environment. The workshop provides access to an extensive collection of materials, including over 100 books and vintage magazines, allowing creativity to flourish.

Suitable for beginners and those with experience alike, the session encourages learning, connection, and experimentation. The workshop concludes with a gallery-style showcase celebrating all participants’ creations.
