1) LOCATION?

Berlin, Germany 🇩🇪

2) YEARS COLLAGING?

10

 3) WHAT DO YOU LOVE AND HATE ABOUT COLLAGE?

Love - Collage is a serious game, creating environments for unexpected insights. It is about freedom of improvisation and the mixing of different repertoires. The collage is for me an image-finding method, not only on paper but also as a methodically reflected approach to work processes, to history and historicity.
It is this associative, contaminating work practice, blending out as little and blending in as much as possible, that I love. The collage pursues as a policy of transgression. Hate - Glue on my fingers !

 4) BIGGEST INFLUENCES?

“Anthropophagic Manifest” by Oswald de Andrade

 5) ANALOG VS DIGITAL?

Analog - Work directly (haptic) with the material is my pleasure. Too many things are possible in the digital way. To have less options in the analog way helps me to concentrate on the main things.

6) HOW DO YOU SPEND YOUR DOWNTIME?

Stop thinking, just breath.

7) THREE TIPS FOR SOMEONE STARTING OUT IN COLLAGE?

  • Watch other artists - So many things are already done. You can learn a lot and you will have a lot of fun.

  • Find your material, your tools and make collections. Every material has different needs, find the material that fits to you. Good tools bring the fun to the next level. To collect your material in a system helps you not to get lost in your material.

  • Take your time - Look at your work after a few days, sometimes you will see something completely different.

8) UP AND COMING SHOWS OR PROJECTS WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT?

In November I was part of an exhibition in Dresden named ‘Eurogrill’ and I work on an artist book named ‘Pindorama’ That will be hopefully published in January 2021.
